Companies use Vob as a facility to assess and review people remotely. During applications, candidates are asked to answer questions provided by the recruiting company. These answers will be recorded by audio, video and GPS location and these recorded answers will be made available to the recruiter. These recorded applications will also be made available to you on the review screen at the end of each application.

Applications will normally be stored for 24 months after which time they will be deleted unless you or the interviewing company has chosen to archive the information for a longer period (at an additional cost).

Vob is not a data controller of any information recorded in an application. Vob simply acts as a data processor who facilitates the recording of the data and transmits any personal data contained in the application from the candidate to the interviewer. We maintain a copy of the interview on the hosting servers of our hosting partners for secure access by the nominated representatives of the recruiter.

As the data controller of applications is the potential employer, candidates must contact the company in question if they wish to raise any issues in respect of the interview.

Exclusion of Liability

We are not responsible or liable in any manner for any user generated content. Although we include strict provisions regarding user generated content in these terms and conditions, we do not control and are not responsible for what users post on or through our website or app, and are not responsible for any offensive, inappropriate, obscene, unlawful, infringing or otherwise objectionable or illegal user generated content you may encounter on our website, app or in connection with your use of our website or app.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable laws we, on behalf of our directors, officers, employees, agents, suppliers, licensors and service providers, exclude and disclaim liability for any losses and expenses of whatever nature and howsoever arising including, without limitation, any direct, indirect, general, special, punitive, incidental or consequential damages; loss of use; loss of data; loss caused by a virus; loss of income or profit; loss of or damage to property; claims of third parties; or other losses of any kind or character, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages or losses, arising out of or in connection with the use of the website or app with which they are linked, or any merchandise available on our website or app. You assume total responsibility for establishing such procedures for data backup and virus checking as you consider necessary. This limitation of liability applies whether the alleged liability is based on contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or any other basis.

User Content

Although we have no obligation to screen, edit, or monitor any User Content without particular cause, we reserve the right, and have the discretion, to remove, screen, or edit any User Content posted or stored on the website or app at any time at our sole discretion and without notice. You are solely responsible for your User Content and for your use of our website or app, which you use at your own risk. By using our website or app you will not (and will not allow or authorise any third party to) post, upload to, transmit, distribute, store, create, solicit, disclose, or otherwise publish through the app any of the following:
